Overview

Rhodreka Strachan is an Associate at Gibson & Associates.

Her legal journey commenced in 2016 when she received her Associates of Arts Degree in Law and Criminal Justice from the then College of The Bahamas (now University of The Bahamas).  Ms. Strachan later pursued her Bachelors of Law (LLB) degree which was successfully obtained in 2019 from the University of The Bahamas and thereafter she matriculated into the Eugene Dupuch Law School where she obtained her Legal Education Certificate. While enrolled at the Eugene Dupuch Law School, she received a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution with emphasis on Negotiation and Mediation in February 2021 and a certificate in Introduction to International Arbitration from the Chartered Institute of International Arbitrators in September 2021. After successfully obtaining her Legal Education Certificate, Ms. Strachan was called to The Bahamas Bar in October 2021. 

After Ms. Strachan was admitted to The Bahamas Bar, she obtained an International Compliance Association International Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering in December of 2022 which was awarded in association with Alliance Manchester Business School at the The University of Manchester. 

Ms. Strachan completed her pupilage at BRF Chambers, a boutique law firm in New Providence, during the period of October 2021 to October 2022 specializing in the areas of Criminal and Civil Litigation, Wills and Estate Planning, Tort, Family Law and Labour and Employment Law. Upon completing pupilage, she later transitioned into the role of Associate.

Ms. Strachan has a keen interest in Conveyancing and Real Estate and Wills and Estate Planning and is eager to continue her knowledge in every area of the law.

Outside of the office, Ms. Strachan serves as a member of the Bahamas Bar Association.  She is passionate about service as she is a member of Rotaract Club of South East Nassau Centennial. Ms. Strachan is also a Toastmaster and member of Pinnacle Seekers Toastmasters Club 1513325. She believes in the preservation of the environment and is an active participant in in the recycling programme at the New Providence Community Centre. Ms. Strachan enjoys volunteering, journaling, and boating.
